Abi is one of Britain's most exciting prospects in athletics with medal potential for the Beijing Olympics.
SPORT BIO
Under the charge of Tony Lester, currently one of the UK's most successful coaches, and overcoming injuries in the early part of her career Abi has risen steadily into the ranks of the world's elite sprinters.
2004 was a great year for Abi, clocking 22.50 in the Athens Olympics reaching the final of the 200m. She was also a semi-finalist over 100m in Athens. Her time over 200m makes her the fastest British woman for 20 years. She is ranked 2nd (200m, 22.50) and 4th (100m, 11.17) in the UK 's all-time lists.
I have put in years of hard work and I feel that it started to pay off last year (2004). I am excited about what I can achieve over the next few years and I am already focusing my ambitions towards Beijing.

Abi graduated in politics and sociology from Brunel University and has recently obtained a Masters in human rights and social change from City University .
Her ultimate aim being a medal in the Beijing Olympics, 2008.
SPECIALIST AREAS
Away from the track, Abi's interests are in reading, politics, and human rights. She works voluntarily, mentoring disadvantaged young people facing difficulties in life, be it at school or at home. After her athletics career Abi will look to work with charities and NGO's, mainly in front-line work.
